I’ve always harbored a love for photography. My father was an avid photographer, so perhaps that’s where I get my knack from...who knows? Wherever it came from, I’m grateful!
While freelancing in the film and television business for several years, my photography fell to the wayside. Then in 2000, the movie biz slowed down considerably in the area, and I found myself with a lot of time on my hands. So, bolstered by my love for animals (as well as lack of income), I started a pet care business to fill in the gaps.
After being out of the loop with the arts for a while, I started missing my creative side and that's when I picked up a camera again.
I started doing some freelance photography work about a year and a half ago and have had selected works shown from time to time in local galleries.
I particularily love photographing pets-I love their honesty and whimsy. My pet photography is in the permanent collection at Central Animal Hospital, located in downtown Savannah, GA in the Starland Arts District. I am also represented by Lanoue Film Arts in Boston, MA. Recent clients include WOMR radio, Provincetown, MA, Schmap Boston, Southern Spaces journal, Little Theatre of Savannah, and the Humane Society for Greater Savannah.
